Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Allstylist. Please read them carefully — by creating an account or using the service you agree to be bound by them.

1. About Allstylist

Allstylist is an online marketplace operated at allstylist.co.uk that connects clients with independent mobile and salon-based hairstylists in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada. Allstylist does not employ stylists; we provide the platform, payment processing, and customer support.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or 16 with a parent or guardian's consent in the UK) to create an account. Stylists confirm that they have all necessary professional qualifications, insurance, and legal right to work in their country.

3. Your account

  • You're responsible for keeping your login details secure.
  • Provide accurate information when registering.
  • One person, one account. Don't impersonate anyone else.
  • You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.

4. Bookings

Allstylist uses a two-step approval flow:

  1. The client submits a booking request — no charge at this stage.
  2. The stylist accepts or declines within 24 hours.
  3. If accepted, the client pays via Stripe to confirm the booking.

The contract for hair services is between the client and the stylist directly. Allstylist is not a party to that contract and does not provide hair services.

5. Payments & fees

For clients

Prices shown include the stylist's full fee. Payment is taken when you confirm an accepted booking. Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers.

For stylists

Allstylist retains a 15% commission on each completed booking. The remainder is paid to the stylist on the 1st and 15th of each month for bookings completed in the previous period, less any applicable taxes. Stylists are responsible for declaring and paying their own income tax, VAT (where applicable), and National Insurance in the UK — or equivalent in the US/CA.

6. Cancellations & refunds

  • Pending booking (not yet paid) — either party may cancel free of charge.
  • Paid booking, more than 24 hours before the appointment — full refund to the client.
  • Paid booking, less than 24 hours before the appointment — 25% cancellation fee retained, 75% refunded.
  • No-shows — clients who fail to appear forfeit the full booking amount.
  • Stylist cancellations — full refund to the client. Repeated cancellations may result in account suspension.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically arrive within 5 business days.

7. Reviews

Clients can leave reviews after a completed booking. Reviews must be honest, based on a genuine experience, and free of personal attacks, hate speech, threats, or unlawful content. We may remove reviews that breach these rules. Stylists may not offer incentives in exchange for positive reviews.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Allstylist for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose.
  • Bypass Allstylist to accept bookings or payments off-platform with users you met through us.
  • Post offensive, defamatory, sexually explicit, or misleading content.
  • Upload portfolio media you don't own or have permission to use.
  • Scrape, copy, or republish Allstylist content without our written permission.
  • Attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the platform.

9. Content you upload

You keep ownership of any photos, videos, bios, reviews, and messages you upload. By uploading, you grant Allstylist a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and promote that content as part of the service — for example, showing your stylist portfolio in search results or a marketing image.

10. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or close any account that breaches these Terms, the law, or that we reasonably believe poses a risk to other users. You can close your account at any time by emailing support@allstylist.co.uk.

11. Liability

Allstylist provides the platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Allstylist's total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) £100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by UK law.

Stylists are independent professionals. Allstylist is not responsible for the quality or outcome of any service provided, but we do mediate disputes and will refund where the service was clearly not as described.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes by email and post the new version here with an updated date. Your continued use of Allstylist after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales — except where you live in another country where local consumer protection laws give you additional rights.
