Getting started

How do I book a hairstylist?

Enter your postcode (UK), ZIP (US) or postal code (CA) on the homepage, browse stylists near you, view their profile, portfolio, and reviews, then click Request Booking. The stylist will receive your request by email and accept or decline within 24 hours. You only pay after they accept.

How do I create a stylist account?

On the registration page, choose Hairstylist as your account type. Once registered, you'll be guided to set up your profile — bio, services & pricing, specializations, postcode/area you serve, photos & videos of your work, and availability. A complete profile is the single biggest driver of bookings.

Bookings & payments

When am I charged?

Allstylist uses a two-step approval flow. Submitting a booking request does not charge your card. After the stylist accepts, you'll receive an email with a "Pay Now" link. Payment is taken securely via Stripe and the booking is then confirmed.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) plus Apple Pay and Google Pay on supported devices, processed securely through Stripe. We never store or see your full card details.

What if my stylist doesn't respond?

Booking requests automatically expire after 24 hours if the stylist has not accepted. You'll be notified by email and free to book a different stylist — no charge.

What is your cancellation policy?

  • Before you've paid — cancel anytime, free.
  • Paid bookings, more than 24 hours before the appointment — full refund.
  • Paid bookings, less than 24 hours before the appointment — 25% cancellation fee, 75% refund. This protects stylists from last-minute lost income.

Refunds are issued back to your original payment method and typically arrive within 5 business days.

I haven't received a confirmation email

Please check your spam or junk folder. Emails come from noreply@allstylist.co.uk. If you still can't find it, contact us at support@allstylist.co.uk with the date and stylist name and we'll resend it.

For stylists

How does Allstylist make money?

Allstylist takes a flat 15% commission on each completed booking. There are no listing fees, no monthly subscriptions, no surprise charges. You only pay when you earn.

When do I get paid?

Payouts are processed manually on the 1st and 15th of each month for all bookings completed in the previous period, directly to the bank account on file. We're working on automated weekly payouts via Stripe Connect — coming soon.

How do I improve my chances of getting bookings?

  • Upload at least 4–6 high-quality portfolio photos and 1–2 short videos of your work.
  • Write a warm, specific bio (training, years of experience, hair types you specialise in).
  • Set realistic pricing — clients filter by price.
  • Reply to booking requests within an hour or two — fast responders get more repeat clients.
  • Ask happy clients to leave a review. Stylists with 5+ reviews get up to 3× more requests.

Account & privacy

How do I update my profile picture?

Go to Settings → Profile Picture → Change Picture. JPG, PNG, or WebP up to 8 MB.

How do I delete my account?

Email support@allstylist.co.uk from the address on your account. We'll permanently delete your data within 30 days, in line with our Privacy Policyand UK GDPR.

I forgot my password

Click Forgot password? on the login page. You'll receive a reset link by email valid for 1 hour.

Trust & safety

Are stylists vetted?

All stylists must verify their email and phone number before going live. We review profiles for completeness and appropriate content. Reviews are only accepted from clients with completed, paid bookings — so what you read is real.

I had a bad experience — what should I do?

Please leave an honest review and email support@allstylist.co.uk with the booking details. We take all complaints seriously and will mediate where appropriate, including refunds where the service was not as described.
